Maratón de dibujo (recaudando fondos para Palestina II) / Drawing Marathon (Fundraiser for Palestine II)
En diciembre participé en otra maratón de Life Drawing Fundraisers. Aquí está todo lo que dibujé. / Back in December there was another Life-Drawing-Fundraisers event. This is all I drew.

Hola, mis líquenes.
Siento haber tardado tanto en enseñaros mis dibujos de esta maratón. El tiempo y la vida, qué lío. Por si no os acordáis o no visteis el newsletter sobre la maratón anterior (lo podéis leer aquí): Life Drawing Fundraisers es una plataforma que organiza eventos de dibujo con modelos para recaudar fondos para causas de justicia social. Tanto el evento de noviembre como el de diciembre del año pasado se realizaron para recaudar fondos para las víctimas en Palestina. En ambos participé online (desde casa), a ratos, y con abundantes descansos y tazas de té. Creo que gracias a eso conseguí disfrutar, no presionarme demasiado para dibujar bien, y no quemarme mental-creativamente.
Voy a hacer lo mismo que en con el evento anterior: os voy a enseñar todos los dibujos que hice, un poco para combatir el impulso perfeccionista de mostrar sólo lo mejor.
Ahora os dejo aquí los dibujos, y debajo algún comentario breve y enlaces a los perfiles de lxs modelos.

Hello, my lichens.
Sorry it took me this long to show you my drawings from this marathon. Time and life, oof. In case you don’t remember or ddn’t reed about the first marathon (you can have a look at it here): Life Drawing Fundraisers is a platform that organizes life-drawing events to raise money for social-justice issues. Both the November event and the December one (both last year) were dedicated to raise funds to send to Palestinian organizations. Both times I took part online, through sprints, and with plenty of rest and tea. I think that’s why I managed to enjoy it, not presured myself too hard to draw well, and not burned out creatively-mentally.
I’m doing what I did with last event: I’m showing you every drawing I made, trying to fight the perfectionist urge to only show the best.
So here are the drawings, with links to the models’ profiles and short comments about the experience.

[Spanish] Meg normalmente posa (en mi experiencia) vestidx de payaso, con atrezzo extravagante (como aquel sombrero de seta), etc. En contraste me agrada esta pose tranquila en el sofá, con la vela en la mano. En general esta maratón tuvo cierto tono triste y solemne (no me quejo, es parte del contexto en el que estábamos trabajando).
[English] Meg usually (in my experience) poses dressed as a clown, or with extravagant accessories (like that mushroom hat), etc. In contrast I enjoyed this calm pose on the couch, holding a candle. Overall this marathon had a sad and solemn vibe (and that’s totally fine because that was part of the context we were working in).
[Spanish] La siempre poderosa, contorsionada, y divina Titania nos regaló de nuevo unas poses de músculos y tendones tensos, pero con mucho movimiento.
[English] The always powerful, contorted, and divine Titania gave us again lots of tensed-muscles poses with a lots of movement though.
[Spanish] Me encantaron las poses de Prana, pero no sé por qué no conseguí sacarlas(¿-les? soy vallisoletana) mucho partido. Creo que estaba cansada… y que tengo poca seguridad dibujando manos. Una pena, porque se pintó las manos de rojo, y eran imágenes muy potentes. Pero es parte de la expriencia del dibujo del natural: no siempre sale bien, y no pasa nada.
[English] I loved Prana’s poses, but I couldn’t catured them. I think I was tired… and also insecure about drawing hands. It’s a pitty because they painted their hands red and those were some impactful images. But that’s part of the nature of life drawing: sometimes your drawings are not great, and that’s okay.
[Spanish] Creo que para cuando llegó Dani Münz yo ya estaba yo algo más centrada. Primero posó preparando té, y después mirando un caracol en la palma de su mano. Me abstuve de dibujar tanto mano como caracol porque me apetecía más centrarme en el rostro.
[English] I think I was feeling more refreshed when Dani Münz arrived. First she posed while making tea, then looking down to a snail on her palm. I decided to just focus on the face because I was feeling more like making a portrait.
[Spanish] Anna Catherine nos leyó creo que un poema de un autor palestino, y después de posar nos habló de cómo le estaba afectando la situación.
[English] Anna Catherine read a poem by a Palestinian author, if I remember correctly, and after the poses got personal about the impact the situation was having on her.
[Spanish] Esta fue la primera vez que dibujé a Shadia Elise, y me encantó. También nos habló de cómo es tener seres queridos en Palestina, y todo se veía en las poses. Fue triste y tierno.
[English] It was my first time drawing Shadia Elise, and I loved it so much. She also talk very candidly about having loved ones in Palestine, and it was all there in her poses. It was heartbreaking and beautiful.
[Spanish] Esta fue la segunda vez que dibujé a Daryl Jon Hembrough, que volvió a preparar un fondo muy pictórico, y se pintó las uñas de negro, rojo, y verde.
[English] And then I drew Daryl Jon Hembrough for the second time. He also put together again a very picturesque background, and had his nails paintedblack, red, and green.
